UNDERSTANDING HOW TO ENGAGE WITH THE WEEKLY SCRIPTURE READINGS
This schedule is designed to be a weekday reader leading up to the Sunday listed. There are five passages to read:

The first is the scripture the sermon is going to be addressing.

The second is context (either before, after or nearby the sermon scripture).

The third is a matching or quoted passage from the Old Testament.

The fourth is New Testament scripture that also matches.
-
The fifth is a Psalm that connects as well.
We have found that taking the time to prepare for the sermon enhances our ability to absorb, enjoy, and be challenged by the sermon. Let it be part of your daily time set aside to be with the Lord and you will be blessed.
